Basic
System Requirements:
Computer
-- Windows 98 or higher running Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher
Connection -- 56K modem speed or higher is recommended
Monitor -- resolution of 800x600 is recommended
Software -- to access reports you will need Acrobat Reader (available
as a free download)
What to expect on the Parent Portal?
All parents will be able to view their student's demographic
information to check the accuracy of addresses and contact information.
Parents will also be able to view class schedules, attendance records,
behavior and gradebook and assignment information.
When
I put my 32 digit Activation Key, I get an error message?
Activation
keys only contain the number zero = 0. There is no letter O. If your
activation key contains a number zero (0), you will need to make sure
that you enter the number zero and not the letter O.
How
do I get an account?
If
you are the parent or legal guardian of a student at Chemawa Indian
School, and have not received account set up information, please contact
Amanda Ward.
Do
I need to set up a portal account for each of my children?
No
-- because the student software system is based upon households, you
will only need to set up one account. All the information on all of
your children attending Chemawa will be available from that one access
point. If for some reason one or more of your children are not visiable,
please contact Amanda Ward.
What
if I forget my password or user name?
If
you have forgotten your password or user name, please contact Amanda
Ward.
What
if I get a message that my account has been disabled?
For
your protection, accounts are disabled after three unsuccessful attempts
to log in using the incorrect PASSWORD. Contact Amanda Ward at 503-399-5721
x345 for more information and to reset your account.
I
can open the Portal and see the School Information, but I don't see
my child's name or schedule?
If you can access the Portal but cannot see your child's information,
please contact the school and have them check to see if the guardian
box is checked on your child's household information.
When I click "Reports" I get an error message. Why
can't I pull up the reports?
The reports in Campus are in .pdf format. If you do not have Acrobat
Reader installed, you may receive error messages. Try downloading the
latest version of Acrobat Reader (found on the Information page of the
Chemawa website).
When I click on the email icon, it says I need to install a
program, why?
If your email program is set as the default program in YOUR computer,
when you click on the icon, your email will automatically open and a
new message will be ready for you to send to the teacher. If that program
does not open, your computer does not have the proper setting. Open
Control Panel>Internet Options>Programs and check your email selection.
