June 29, 1986 - December 15, 2006

From the first day that he stepped foot on campus, AJ made Chemawa his home.
He will always be remembered as someone that ate, breathed and slept basketball. He was
never happier than when he was on a basketball court, with a ball in his hands
and the wind at his back. Someone once said that AJ picked those that he
trusted and loved carefully; that he would sit back and observe before deciding that you deserved his heart. He adopted staff as surrogate parents, aunties and uncles;
students as brothers and sisters. He will be forever in the hearts and
minds of those that knew and loved him.

AJ passed away December 15, 2006 in Poplar Montana. He leaves behind
many family members both in Montana and in Oregon. AJ, we miss you and
love you - you will never be forgotten.
