Chemawa Indian School is the oldest off reservation boarding school in the United States, and is operated by the Bureau of Indian Affairs. Our student body typically consists of members from more than sixty tribes from the sixteen Western states including Alaska. Our school serves grades 9 through 12 and is accredited by the Northwest Association of Schools and Colleges as a Special Purpose School.
