Chemawa Indian School is accredited and meets the standards of the Northwest Association of Schools and Colleges, the State of Oregon, and the Bureau of Indian Affairs. Chemawa has been awarded a certificate for a Special Purpose School without comment.

We feel that today's students will be tomorrows citizen's and leaders. Their success is influenced greatly by the quality of experiences we provide for them at Chemawa. Our goal is to give each and every student an opportunity to fulfill his or her greatest potential and to challenge them to develop lifelong learning skills in communication, critical thinking/problem solving, human relations, personal development/self-concept and citizenship.
